A Taste of Jewish Culture
Jewish values are one of the most important lessons which we teach our campers.
We embrace all Jewish backgrounds at Camp Shalom. Our campers and staff come from a variety of Jewish upbringings including traditional, interfaith, reform and conservative. We respect how each and every Shalomer observes our faith.
Every Friday night a beautiful Kabbalat Shabbat service is lead by one of our visiting song leaders. If you grew up in south Florida you know how very special Susan Linder and Cantor Debbie Ballard are to our community! We only bring in the best at Camp Shalom.
On Shabbat morning campers and staff have the option of attending our weekly Torah service.
Shabbat is a special day at camp where together as one we participate in an all camp day. All camp activities range from Olympic Day to Records Day. These days are designed to let our campers strive to be the best they can be and take on leadership roles with their peers.
Shabbat ends with a beautiful Havdalah service by our waterfront. Together as a camp we find time to reflect and prepare for another week of fun!
Jewish tradition is part of our daily routine at camp. From blessings to using Hebrew words we make sure our environment embraces our deep Jewish heritage.
